How it all started
Doctorsa’s story began with the launch of a clinic in the heart of Rome, Italy, created by Dr. Francesco-Maria Serino, MD, PhD to provide traveler-friendly, English-speaking, medical care.
Local success
The service quickly became a trusted provider, earning recognition as an IAMAT travel clinic, a healthcare provider for the United Nations headquarters in Rome, and a reference point for international institutions and visitors alike.
Nationwide network
Nadia Neytcheva joined, bringing her expertise in customer-centered solutions and digital innovation. Alongside Francesco and the newly appointed CTO, Max Meloni, she tackled the challenge of scaling high-quality, patient-centric care without escalating costs.
Platform goes live
The result was the transformation from a single clinic to a nationwide network of doctors and clinics. At this point, Doctors in Italy was selected by Bocconi 4 Innovation, the accelerator program of Italy’s top business school, just as the pandemic hit travel worldwide.

Despite the pandemic downturn, the founders remained focused on their mission, fine-tuning the digital platform and ensuring it could meet the changing needs of global travelers.

Rebranded as Doctorsa in 2023, the digital platform launched across Europe and quickly expanded to Latin America, Turkey, and Southeast Asia.
